Working on one of the biggest construction sites in Europe, I spent most of my time in this role as a heavy plant operator, which I really enjoyed, Hinkley Point C was an immensely interesting project to be a part of and I'm proud to have spent the time I did there. I completed my apprenticeship in Bricklaying/Construction with an NVQ level 3, from there I went on to start my career as a self-employed bricklayer working on a variety of sites across Devon and Cornwall from new build schools, new build housing sites, industrial sites, small domestic sites and pretty much everything in-between, gaining vital construction knowledge along the way, myself and my business partner ran a successful bricklaying contracting business working for some of the biggest house builders in the UK. we took on several apprentices of our own over that period.
