  Commenced my seagoing career at the rank of cadet, upon completion of exams rising to the rank of Third Officer. In 2004 I achieved the promotion of Second Officer Navigator, during which time I actively understudied the Chief Officer's in all aspects of the role, before being promoted to Chief Officer in 2007. Throughout this period I served on several of BP's modern Gas, Product and Crude carrying vessels. I was also actively involved in a new build project based in Shanghai, which involved overseeing the construction development of three LNG carriers and the initial voyage of the first.
