James is a detail oriented professional. It is rare that you would find someone with his understanding of so many technologies. I would consider James a person on the cutting edge of technology regularly attending workshops and trainings to stay apprised of the changes in his field. He is a person who not only can diagnose and repair very technical equipment but he also takes time to listen. James not only works on the technology but is there for the students as well. I recently gave an assignment which required students to use the medium of digital photography. These students done the assignment but had neglected to place the work on a medium that could be turned in to me for grading purposes. They ask for my help and I tried to accommodate them. My limited knowledge of the different softwares involved helped the students very little. I called James and although he was busy on end of the semester projects of his own, he took the time to help these students resulting in their successful completion of the assignment. I could name other examples but suffice it to say that James is a person who truly cares about others. It is with a great deal of pleasure and enthusiasm that I recommend James Powers in any endeavor that he may seek.
