Member of the executive committee providing guidance and leadership in the areas of capital markets, strategic planning, licensing and finance with responsibility for all of Nuvo's financial operations, information technology, human resources and manufacturing operations. Nuvo Research Inc. is a publicly traded, pharmaceutical company headquartered in Mississauga, Ontario with manufacturing facilities located in Varennes, Quebec and Wanzleben, Germany, and R&D facilities and offices in Canada, the United States and Germany.Nuvo Research Inc. is a specialty pharmaceutical company dedicated to building a portfolio of products for the topical treatment of pain and the development of its immune modulating drug candidate WF10.Nuvo's first commercialized pain product is Pennsaid®, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), used to treat the signs and symptoms of osteoarthritis of the knee. Pennsaid is available by prescription in the United States, Canada and several European countries. Through the acquisition of ZARS Pharma, Inc. in May 2011, the Company broadened its pain portfolio with two approved products - Pliaglis® and Synera®.During my tenure we completed several key initiatives including: the development, approval and launch of the company's first drug, Pennsaid in the United States; signing multiple licensing deals including Pennsaid in the U.S. to Covidien, a global pharma company; raising $40 million in external financing; new system implementations in finance and a transition to IFRS; the acquisition of a complementary U.S. drug company; and a restructuring of the manufacturing operations and corporate structure.

Tesma, was an auto parts company listed on the TSX and NASDAQ, until it completed a "going private" transaction with Magna International Inc. in 2005. Over an eleven year period I served in various capacities including Corporate Controller, Vice President, Finance and Treasurer. I played an integral role on the executive management team that took Tesma public in 1995 as the first Magna "spinco", growing its sales from $344 million to $1.7 billion in 2005 with operations on 4 continents. I played a key role in several public equity issues, debt financings, acquisitions, strategic planning and operational finance.
