Techniques and Instrumentation: High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) with Photodiode Array (PDA), Refractive Index (RI), Electrochemical Detection (ECD) and Charged Aerosol Detector (CAD), Ultra-Performance Liquid Chromatography (UPLC), Gas Chromatography (GC) Liquid and Headspace Injection, Thermal Gravimetric Analysis (TGA), Performance Dissolution Testing, UV-Vis Spectroscopy, Karl Fischer Titration, Thin Layer Chromatography, pH meters, Pipetting, Empower Chromatography Data Software, LabWare Electronic Laboratory Notebook Records. As a QC Chemist at Boston Analytical, I work with a group of chemists testing a wide range of pharmaceutical products undergoing stability studies following USP, FDA, and ICH guidelines. In this cGMP environment, I perform quantitative and qualitative analyses assessing the label claim of these products, how well these products perform in a dissolution test, and identifying known and unknown impurities. I also aid in the preparation of these reports that are sent to our clients and provide a technical review of my other peers’ work. Show less

Techniques and Instrumentation: Plate Reading, UV-Vis Spectroscopy (UV-Vis), High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Gas Chromatography (GC), High-Performance Thin Layer Chromatography (HPTLC). Micropippetting. As an Analytical Chemist at ICT, most of my work involved performing various quantitative antioxidant assays (ORAC) on food products that were read via plate reading. Other tests involved analyzing certain compounds of interest quantitatively via HPLC, UV-Vis, or GC. Due to the size of the company, I also logged in all incoming samples, processed all data through the use of specialized excel sheets, properly stored and disposed of all past samples, helped maintain balances, fridges, and sonicators with daily checks as well as keeping the lab clean. • Jan 2018 - May 2018

As a research assistant, I was apart of Hans Metzen's research group, which dealt with the qualitative identification of flavoring compounds in various varieties of hops. During my time I prepared hops samples using suction filtration and extraction, mimicked the boiling process of brewing to analyze the trend of how flavoring compounds changed over time, and created a flavor profile of the hops based on GCMS readings and scent databases.

    • Lab Technician
      • Jan 2018 - May 2018

I cleaned and put away glassware generated from undergraduate lab courses, helped set up experiments for future lab sessions, and maintained lab equipment such as pH readers, GCMS, IR and UV VIS.
