Max joined NationWide Hire in October 2013 as National Operations Manager. In this Executive Management position, Max managed all logistics, safety, transport, maintenance and other company operational requirements. In June 2015, due to his good performance, Max was promoted to CEO of NationWide Hire with full responsibility of all aspects of the business. When Max became the CEO, the business was undergoing a restructure process due to the declining market conditions in the Australian resource industry which included downsizing the organization and the fleet size. Max performed extremely well in this challenging environment and provided the company with strong leadership and direction constantly introducing and suggesting new strategic initiatives for improvements in sales, customer service and operations. Max reported directly to the Board of Directors and particular me, as the Chairman of the Board, and managed to embrace his new role very well and performed all requested duties with a high degree of integrity and diligence. Due to the continued deteriorating commercial environment, NationWide Hire unfortunately entered Voluntary Administration end of 2016. This was in no terms due to Max’s performance as he continued to pursue all avenues to improve performance. Max’s role in the administration process has also been flawless. I am happy to act as a reference for Max at any time.
