Previously worked a Construction Site & Project Manager for Towerhouse Systems Ltd. Over the past years I have managed the construction of 10 large 5 bed luxury homes in Heaton Chapel and 20 new homes in Burnage along with smaller projects on the side. My responsibilities include; planning, organising and controlling work on a daily basis as well as procuring sub contractors and the general running of the site. I am also responsible for the company identity, social media presence, website and emails. When I joined the company in 2014 I was able to utilise my previous experiences in order to implement my ideas. I was then able to create the logo and website etc as well as setting up the construction site layout to promote the company. I really enjoy my work and each day is a new challenge, which allows me to utilise my problem solving, management and leadership skills in order to complete the works and bring on the development to completion. My role was to include running the current accreditation programme whilst also putting together and implementing the new light touch version. The current programme closed to new applications in September 2016 The current programme required me to take the remaining Guidance Producers through to the Accreditation Advisory committee and then on to publication. Below are a few of the key steps which were involved: • Looking into the current processes and identifying where each application was up to. • Ensuring that everyone was kept up to date on progress. • Leasing with Guidance Producers to ensure Information was sent / received at the correct time and date. • Arranging and attending Accreditation Advisory committees including conducting pre committee meetings. • Delegate work to Technical Analysts, set deadlines and prioritise workload. • Identify External Advisers and arrange peer review of decisions. • Provide updates to NICE’s website regarding decisions and committee dates. The new process was to be a ‘light touched’ version of the current process. This required me to go through each stage of the programme, identify areas which could be taken out / reduced and lease with all members of the team to ensure that any changes made would maintain the integrity of the programme. Below are the key steps that I undertook: • Review all current information and data to ensure it was up to date and correct. • Review the current process to identify areas which could be reduced or removed from the process. • Leased with members of the Accreditation team to identify any areas of concern or which they felt where vital in ensuring the programmes integrity. • Delegate work for the new process to Technical Analysts to create new documents such as the ‘Renewals Application’. By the time I left NICE the foundations of the new programme where set, a new application form was created and a flow diagram showing the major steps ensured everyone knew how the new process would work. I originally started at NICE as an Administrator for the Medicines and Prescribing Centre. My role as an administrator was very diverse. I would keep calendars up to date, answer queries, help support events by creating WebPages on Eventsforce, travel to support and aid the running the events and producing the Medicines Evidence Weekly to name a few. I then subsequently went on to become a Production Manager after taking on more responsibilities such as monthly reports, keeping track of the production of a number of resources including Evidence Summary Unlicensed and Off Label Medicines (ESUOM) and Evidence Summary New Medicines (ESNM) to name a few. I would also attend weekly and monthly meetings to update other teams and management of progress. I also managed a project which would simplify and make it easier for Controlled Dug Accountable Officers to register and communicate with each other which was a success. It involved communicating the Quality Care Commission (QCC) and a number of external stakeholders to ensure it was done correctly due to the importance and the sensitivity of the task. Show less

    • Administrator Coordinator
      • Dec 2013 - Mar 2014

Working within the Medicines prescribing centre (MPC) as an administrator and coordinator. My current position requires me to be responsible to the Assistant Project Manager and includes basic administration such as booking train tickets and accommodation using ‘tRips’, updating databases, booking rooms and facilities and general day to day administration. My role also requires me to create online registration pages using Events Force so people can register for events. As a coordinator it is also my responsibility to ensure packs containing all the information are made for attendees on the day. I am a keen and fast paced worker who is dedicated and willing to go that bit extra to ensure tasks and deadlines are met. Show less

As an Administrator at The Manchester College my position required me to work in the Course Enquiries department which dealt with students who have and are currently applying for courses. I would use a number of different types of software to input the data such as Microsoft Excess, One Note and EBS. As I was a temporary member of staff working during the high peek of enquiries over the summer I had to learn as much as I could in a very short period, therefore I ensured I spent my spare times researching courses and funding available so that I would be able to answer peoples questions. I took to the role very quickly and was answering emails and phone calls within the first week rather than the third week which was the normal period in which a new member of staff would start to do so on their own. • Jan 2012 - Jun 2012

As a Support Worker I would look after young adults with autism. This was a rewarding job as I would spend the day helping to make the person’s life who I was looking after as normal as possible and help them to do day to day tasks. I developed my own personal skills whilst working with young adults with autism as I realised the importance of good communication skills as well as patience and compassion. I would support 5 different clients on a 1 to 1 basis. Whilst working as a support worker I found it very rewarding and attended a number of courses including Physical Intervention, Dealing with difficult behaviour, Infection control and types of communication.
