My goals: That students can progress toward a confidence that they can learn math and carry this beyond to the highest levels of the discipline. Student's mind develops to see the value mistakes have in increasing your mathematical thinking. They come to understand that purposeful and targeted questions are really important. Mathematical learning at its best is about making sense of things and as such requires a creativity. You would never want to limit yourself in any walk of life by telling yourself you can’t be creative. No different than life and other disciplines, math is also done well when you make connections and strive to communicate effectively. We can work together to make learning and not necessarily performing the goal. Show less
