      • Jun 2014 - Aug 2014

During the summer of 2014 I worked at a children’s summer camp in northern Michigan. Most days would consist of spending 14 hours a day with children aged 8-16 from eating meals together, teaching classes and even running evening programs for around 30 children in each class. One part of my duty was to encourage motivation, team-work and general life skills to enhance their experience and development. I was also hand-picked to look after a group of 6 year old boys for 3 days and nights who came as a taster session for the future and we would spend near enough 24 hours a day with these children to ensure they had the best possible experience at camp. During the Christmas period I helped out at a homeless shelter, which is run during the festive period in Manchester city centre. I organised a stall for people to get their haircut, distributed appropriate clothes and toiletries to those asking and also had the opportunity to interact and even play table-tennis with anyone who wanted to. • Sales and promotions assistant
      • Sep 2012 - May 2013

As a Sales and Promotion assistant my responsibility was to advertise the nightclub's events to the appropriate market and raise awareness for the business. This was done through social media, alongside with marketing on the streets of Sheffield. Much of my time was mainly selling tickets for our events, which involved approaching our consumers in the town and also door to door knocking. I was able to improve my ability conversing with customers and I learnt the importance of customer service and interaction in order to successfully secure sales. Show less
