Radiology Technologist, MRI, CT
-
Feb 2002 - Present
I attended Pima Community College for two years to obtain my Associates Degree in Applied Sciences and received my RT in 1998. I have been conducting X-ray exams for the past 22 years and have worked in many various environments including mobile X-ray, trauma unit, hospital, and clinical settings. I have been an Arizona State Certified CT Technologist for 20 years and Arizona State Certified MRI technologist for the past 18 years. I feel confident in all three of these modalities and am familiar with several different types of diagnostic equipment including Siemens, GE, and Toshiba. I have been the lead technologist at the clinic I work at since August 2009. This position has given me a wealth of experience as acting supervisor of 10-12 employees when our Clinic Supervisor is off site or on vacation. Some of the tasks include solving employee concerns, staffing, patients scheduling and grievances, ordering supplies, assisting other staff with exams and dealing with outside agencies such as repair and alarm companies. I have actively participated in creating educational clinical case studies for the employees for the company which consists of 7 clinical sites throughout the city. I am in charge of the American College of Radiology accreditation for our clinical site and updating the protocols for the radiologist on the MRI or CT sequences. I am always looking for new ways to improve my skills and abilities. Show less

Bass Player

1995 - Present
I have played the bass guitar for the past 20 years and am currently playing for two local bands. Steve Harris with Iron Maiden has been my inspiration for playing the bass guitar. Genres that I enjoy playing are Christian Contemporary, Classical, Classic Rock, 80’s Hair Bands, Grunge, Heavy Metal, Christian Metal and Gothic, Metal. Currently, I utilize a few different instruments which include a 4 and 5 string Ibanez Soundgear with Blue Steel Strings and acoustic bass. Although I do enjoy playing a variety of types of music my favorite is to jam on Heavy Metal. I am always looking into new styles of songs to try, and the more challenging the more enjoyable.
