After leaving the regular Army in 1996, I stayed completely out a few months, then missed it and joined the guard in Texas. I was in an Armor unit HHC Medical platoon classified as a 91B. Due to attrition, I inherited the role of platoon sergeant the last few months I was there. I let my enlistment expire because at the time, I was both a full time student and worker, and the weekend drills were always scheduled right before finals and my peak season at work. Learned to drive and command tracked vehicles at Cobb Park Armory, White Settlement Motor Pool, Fort Wolters, and Fort Hood at AT. I used my basic medical and food inspection training as a 91R to train soldiers on triage and inspect field kitchens. Show less
