As the branch Commercial Vehicle Specialist, my duty was to respond effectively to a client’s or company's request relating to their commercial vehicle policies and enquiries. This included acquiring risk details for a brand new client and sourcing policies in line with the client’s requests and needs. One of my main responsibilities was to maintain relationships with insurers and underwriters making sure the relationship is enriched through my professionalism and business placement. My knowledge of insurer schemes, discounts and where best to place a client’s risk was imperative to dealing with my clients and insurers in a timely and constructive manner when negotiating a policy. Further responsibilities included, but were not limited to, dealing with general inbound enquiries for a multitude of insurance services, claims and products, managing a small team of sales advisors, working to challenging sales targets, giving advice and assistance regarding private car and commercial vehicle new business internally to colleagues, reporting to my branch manager and senior commercial management and collating weekly figures.
