James Concar has delivered a very professional and personal service in recruiting me for my most recent position. James has consistently responded to queries I have raised via email/phone and made sure that I settled comfortably in to the new role. As a contractor I have had many dealings with recruiters/ agencies, and the skills, ability and service James has demonstrated has been first class. I would highly recommend James for all jobseekers.

I began in this role by leading the Children's department up until September 2013, in my first year in the role I managed to achieve +17% sales for the department through a combination of staff training and incentives based on hitting KPI's. My main responsibilities were to ensure that the department was kept up to date with current VM principles and that it was both welcoming and accessible to our consumers. I followed up my first year result with a +1% sales performance thanks to a strong key trading period over the summer. This was due to assisting and planning out the roles and responsibilities of over 20 members of staff in order to delivery a fantastic experience for both parent and child, during a hectic time of year for parents. From there I moved onto looking after the Men's department until I left in October 2014, this role involved more developed consumer experiences and a more detailed knowledge regarding fashion. During my time running the Mens' department I managed to achieve a sales budget of +10.48% YTD before leaving the company. This was down to actively seeking out information regarding mens' fashion through various mediums such as talking to other fashion retailers through to social media such as Instagram to follow brands and keep up with their latest product launches. This allowed me to train staff and encourage them to ask more questions of the consumer to get more information regarding the end use for the product they were looking for. Also coupled with the successful launch of the Style weekends in store which allowed staff to dress in their own clothes wearing a pair of Clarks shoes in order to showcase to consumers how they would wear them. This initiative from head office coupled with more style inspired conversations in store between sales team members and management allowed staff to be more confident when approaching consumers to talk about style. Other Responsibilities: - Audit and stock management.- Visual Merchandising. Show less
