Bio
Edward Mizuhara
After spending roughly 38 hours in a car over four days, covering over 2,000km and eating eleven meals together while travelling across the Ukraine taking in humanitarian and medical aid to a women’s shelter, a local community depot, for a handicapped child and a bomb shelter now home to 250 refugees and locals, and then helping to extract 19 persons and one bird who had all fled occupied Russian territory to safer pastures, I can say without reservation that James Hewitt is not only one of the most charming, well travelled and interesting people I have ever met but also that he has one of the biggest and genuine hearts. His sense of honour and duty to serve anyway he can in the Ukraine, instead of sitting comfortably at home in retirement is ever inspiring. But what was most impressive was watching him speak so intimately with people as we dropped off aid, and the heartfelt response from people who so appreciated his kind words and thoughtfulness. I would recommend that if you ever have a chance to meet him definitely do and I would be pleased to work with him any day!
