      Having previously worked for 8el Ltd prior to IDE Group Manage Ltd, I took the opportunity to move away from Support into the Projects Team. Technical skills learned in the NOC provided me with invaluable knowledge to support me in my role in the Projects and the networks side of the business. Roles within the Projects Team included; managing voice and data projects from product ordering through to final delivery and handover, meeting agreed customer SLAs, in-project customer updates, and managing customer expectations. Internally I liaised with all relevant departments to manage each project, as well as with external 3rd party telecoms suppliers to ensure projects successfully delivered on time. Personal highlights within Projects included; Ownership of a key customer account, overseeing a total of 30 separate projects over a total of five years. Projects for this customer included single connection DSLs in new customer retail sites, existing network upgrades on all circuits and support during the installation of a new till system supplied by a 3rd party. This last project required 50 charity shops to have routers replaced or firmware upgraded to be compatible with the new till system. The value of this single project was £16k and took a total of six weeks to complete in line with the planned deadlines. Successful delivery of a three-month voice project worth £50k, migrating a customer from their existing voice platform to a new Gamma Horizon voice platform. This was for 300 staff covering 6 different offices in the UK. The scope of the project included porting numbers across to the new provider and making sure the networks team re-configured the routers and switches to work on the new voice platform. Show less
