Lettings Negotiator

Dec 2012 - Jul 2013
Parks introduced me to the property market. I began as an administrator gaining valuable knowledge and experience in a fast paced environment carrying out administrative duties including referencing tenants as well as drawing up the legal paperwork. I managed my work load to an exceptionally high standard and within 6 months was promoted to Lettings Negotiator. I would be invited by my director where possible to join him on rental valuations which helped me to gain an understanding of the value of the rental market.

During my time in retail I covered a number of different positions within different stores which include going on secondment during a period where the company had expanded into new areas. As a team leader I was responsible for supporting my line manager achieving high levels of customer service as well as day to day replenishment duties and stock rotation. My role as an Assistant Section Manager gave me responsibilities for setting high standards within my team. Other duties would include increasing sales as well as reducing wastage within the department, making sure seasonal lines are readily available during their peak times. I was managing approximately 70 members of staff making sure staff and holiday planning was executed accurately to avoid any over spending on wages. I was responsible for accurately carrying out payroll duties within my department so staff were paid correctly. I was responsible for implementing and maintaining new and better ways of working as well as progressing staff within the business. I would regularly have to attend meetings where planning and reporting on business and market conditions would be presented and discussed.
