  Co-Founder of Lung Health Centre (LHC) along with my wife Adama Fofana. LHC is a not-for-profit organization registered with the Charity Commission UK - Charity No. 1194481. The aim of our organization is to establish a chronic lung disease clinic in Bo, Sierra Leone to diagnose and treat our fellow citizens living with the burden of chronic lung disease (starting with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and Asthma). Our focus will be on those that cannot afford or have access to adequate healthcare services. Our objectives are to have LHC's own clinic and employ local government-trained medical practitioners and other staff as necessary. LHC-recruited medical staff will be further trained by our partners in the UK and EU using the "train the trainer" model so knowledge on how to care for chronic lung disease patients will be shared with other local medical practitioners. Our organization will also conduct research into the prevalence of chronic lung diseases in Sierra Leone and also educate the public on the causes of chronic lung diseases and how to prevent them.
