Geomatics Surveyor
-
Mar 2017 - Present
I am currently a Geomatics Surveyor, project managing and running the Brierley Hill (West Midlands) survey department from initial quotation request, through pricing, quotation, field work, processing and delivery. My responsibilities require me to undertake a variety of measured surveys (topographic, measured building, underground survey, setting out, subsidence monitoring, structural deformation monitoring, volume analysis, land mapping and update surveys of Quarries/Landfills, aerial survey and photography/videography, quarry design updates) utilising Total Station, GNSS, Terrestrial Laser Scanning, UAV and Digital Level technologies. I have and currently still use a wide variety of software to process the raw survey data and extract the required information, including LSS Elite + PC, Trimble Business Centre, ReCap Pro, Faro Scene 2019, Agisoft Metashape, Pix4D Mapper Pro, Cyclone Register 360, CloudCompare, RealityCapture, Autodesk Inventor, QGIS and AutoCAD Civil 3D. I am currently in the latter stages of undertaking the RICS APC Chartership in Geomatics to further progress my professional development. Show less

3D Design Engineer
-
Aug 2011 - Feb 2017
As a mechanical design engineer, my main duties relied on me working on a variety of projects for a wide variety of companies within a large number of industries. The workflow started off with a client specification which led to conceptual designs with the sales team and client. Once agreed, a full working 3D model was created in Autodesk Inventor, where the required drawing plans for internal and external fabrication were extracted. In order to achieve this to best effect, this has required me to create a strong working relationship with both internal colleagues on all levels and external personnel, whether they are sub-contractors or customers.
