-Read Prints-Field verified measurements and elevations safely-Broke prints down into spool pieces-Drew Spool Pieces onto ISO paper-Fabricated pipe spools safely-Welded pipe spool pieces safely-Helped load pipe to bring to location in the field-Installed pipe-Pulled measurements for final tie in-Fabricated tie in piece or pieces-Welded final spool pieces-Made many tie ins SAFELY...ALSO:-HOT TAPS:-When production needed another line ran off of an existing pipeline-We welded a weld neck flange to a re enforcement saddle-production would flow the gas pipeline from one tank to another-we would fit the saddle on the side of the pipe-welded the re enforced saddle-bolted a valve to the flange-installed a flanged pneumatic dill to the valve-opened the valve-drilled a hole into the pipeline-backed the drill out-closed the valve-then we would run them another pipeline anywhere they needed...ICE PLUG WELDS:-Production would find old leaking pipelines-production would evacuate the pipeline-to save the company money-we would cold cut the section of pipeline that was bad -IMTT safety rep. would assist us-we would push sand and dry ice about 4 to 6 ft. into the pipeline-we would fill to the top, creating an ice plug- the safety rep. would use gas detector that was LEL sensitive-once there was no sign of fire hazard-we would weld a slip on flange to the old pipeline-we would have a new spool piece ready to install....
