My duties involved managing a section of the café, and also serving customers in the attached bakery. I enhanced my ability to work under intense pressure, all the while maintaining an excellent level of service. When I was working in the bakery, I was responsible for managing the stock levels, receiving and delivering customer orders, as well as the serving customers on almost a minute by minute basis! I believe that my people skills have been honed even further, as I am able to deal with the most variable customer requests in the same professional yet personable manner, and also maintain a cool, calm and collected exterior, no matter how busy I am.

I tasked with ensuring that the logistics of one of the world's largest broadcasting companies ran smoothly, whilst covering the recent 'ICC Champions Trophy 2013 - England and Wales' cricket tournament. This included maintaining the schedule for both the commentary box and pitch side broadcasts, and also managing the production trucks, and keeping a professional and productive working environment. My duties involved managing a section of the restaurant, and also running and organising large private functions. This experience helped me gain the invaluable skill of being able to work under extreme pressure to deliver an excellent end product, ie, the customer’s experience as a whole. I developed my planning skills, learning how to make scheme both structured and organised, but also flexible and able to cater for any eventuality. Shop Assistant

Sep 2008 - Dec 2010
My duties here involved serving clients, managing stock levels, attending to and processing customer orders, and general reprographic duties. I was also responsible for the opening and closing of the shop, including cashing up. Here, I had the huge advantage of interacting with the clientèle on almost a minutely basis, and so the importance of a good rapport with bust the customer and colleagues was made obvious. As such, I consider that a good customer/colleague relationship to be one of the most important business skills to have, regardless of the environment.
