  My extensive experience in the scuba diving industry allowed me to develop valuable leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills that I now apply to the classroom. I was responsible for teaching students how to scuba dive safely and effectively, while also fostering a love and appreciation for the underwater world. This involved designing and delivering engaging lesson plans, providing hands-on instruction and guidance, and ensuring that all safety protocols were followed. As a dive shop manager, I oversaw all aspects of the business, including customer service, sales, inventory management, and staff training and development. I also had to stay up-to-date on the latest scuba diving trends and technologies, and maintain strong relationships with vendors and industry professionals. In my current role as a biology teacher, I use my past experience to bring real-world relevance to the subject matter. I incorporate my knowledge of marine biology and ecosystems into my lessons, and encourage my students to explore the natural world and develop a sense of environmental stewardship. Overall, my background in scuba diving instruction and dive shop management has provided me with a unique set of skills and perspectives that I believe make me a more effective and engaging teacher.
