Responsible for day to day management of the £6 million pound turn over Charity and Managing Director of the two Trading Subsidiaries, Lincoln Students' Union Trading LTD and Students' Union Management System LTD. Group employs over 78 full time staff and up to 180 part time staff. Skills & Responsibilities: • Reporting directly to a Board of Trustees I have primary responsibility for all aspects of the charity, holding overall accountability for the financial activity within the organisation including the independent Bars, Catering, Entertainments and Facilities departments with a combined turnover of approximately £4m as well as the Charity with a turnover of circa £2 million. Achievements: • Created, developed and implemented a Strategy following a strategic review. • Oversaw the growth from 14 employees to 186 employees in 1.5 years • In 2013 created a Ltd company trading arm, Lincoln Students' Union Trading and carried out a TUPE takeover of a failing business called The Shed. This unit returned an operating profit in its first six months of trading. • Led on the TUPE transfer of The £4 Million business, The Engine Shed and Tower Bars operation from The University of Lincoln. • Led the team to win NUS Students' Union of the year 2014 • Led a team to create a standalone software platform SUMS, (Student Union Management System) Show less

Achievements: • Achieved Best Bar None Gold Award for three consecutive years. • Increased profitability of a failing Commercial Arm from 50K to 600K profit in three years following a successful market research profit to identify members wants and needs. • Project managed a capital investment program to relocate an aged kitchen, develop a table service food offering from a canteen style operation, relocate a £1.4 million turnover retail unit, create a takeaway hot sandwich operation called QuickBite, create a cold sandwich takeaway unit called Munchies. • Launched a New Nightclub called Asylum and came up with the concept for the two most successful student nights in the county, Brassick and The Tower. • Designed and created a brand new event called the End of Year ball which is still running strong. I delivered eight highly profitable End of Year Ball events, each delivering over £275k in revenue, £100k in profit, selling to its full capacity of 3,500 attendees, with an outdoor festival stage, fairground and various themed activities.
