Reference and Instruction Librarian at Roseman University of Health Sciences, in South Jordan, Utah. I have in-depth expert training in using and teaching databases such as PubMed, Web of Science, and other Health Science related resources. As the instruction librarian I met with classes regularly to teach them how to use library resources. I was also the collection development librarian and primary liaison to all other academic departments on campus, including Nursing, Pharmacy, Dental, and Business Administration. I strove to build strong professional relationships with faculty, department heads, Deans, and students so that I could help them reach their professional goals.

I was the Reference and Instruction Librarian at Sam Houston State University (SHSU), in Huntsville, Texas. I coordinated all library instruction and taught most of the information literacy and bibliographic instruction across campus. I taught more than ninety instruction sessions in 2010. SHSU has one library for a student body of over 27,000 and the reference librarians are expected to have an understanding of reference in all subject areas. I also volunteered to work in the technical services department on special projects and I published in scholarly journals.

As the Reference and Instruction Librarian at Chadron State College (CSC), Nebraska, I was the liaison to the History, Music, and Communication departments and I did collection development in those areas for more than four years. I was also the Electronic Resources Librarian and Webmaster at the CSC Library. I have comprehensive knowledge of electronic resources management because I played an integral part in modernizing the electronic resources at CSC. I coordinated the effort to purchase and set up EZ-Proxy for the college. I purchased and set up an Open URL, and I purchased many of the databases in the CSC collection. I also gave workshops and taught two three-credit courses in the Library Media Program at CSC. The courses focused on reference and technology in libraries. Finally, as Webmaster I created all of the library web pages, including subject guides. I am comfortable with technology and I enjoy teaching others how to use it.
