I worked as a management consultant, largely focused on innovation. I developed and project managed the EY Startup Challenge, an Open Innovation programme designed to connect large corporations with innovative startup companies. Leading a small team, I worked with multiple senior stakeholder, corporate partners, clients, investors and founders to identify and solve some of the most pressing businesses issues we face today including: Data Privacy/InfoSec/CyberSec, Supply Chain Transparency, Customer Experience. We kept a focus on the identification and retrieval of commercial value for EY, which resulted in >£11m sales pipeline and multiple wins across the business via enhanced client interactions. Prior to this work i worked in a number of roles as a data analyst, programme manager, change manager and process engineering in the NHS, Energy and Assets firms and construction companies. Show less

Property Programme Manager
-
Sep 2011 - Aug 2012
James developed a depth of programme knowledge as he helped build and manage the property development programme at Tesco. By looking at the available development opportunities in conjunction with other relevant information from across the business, such as sales, costs, and strategy to hit a set of KPI's he was able to maximise annual return on investment whilst hitting the then very public goal of customer satisfaction in store quality. He also undertook a number of other roles including some high level data analysis, environmental programme management and business performance management. Show less
