James came to our firm from college and worked with me on a large Hotel, Casino & Conference Center Project in the northwest. We were charged with developing a 2-Acre atrium that connected two of the 9-story hotel wings and the casino. James was very eager to learn how to put a design together and then follow through with design development and construction documents. During this period of time, he actually led the development of the atrium package due to my other project responsibilites. He was good at interacting with the rest of the design team, developing the appropriate sketches, drawings, CAD and 3D face modeling drawings and reveiwing them with appropriate senior level colleagues. James' eagerness and can-do attitude made it easy to let him run with most of the work involved. I provided daily and weekly mentoring and coaching and it was my sincere pleasure to work with him.
