I worked on seven consulting projects for institutions such as the Costa Rican Ministry of Planning and Economic Policy, the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs, the Costa Rican Ministry of Energy and Environment, the World Bank, and the Costa Rican Ministry of Energy and Environment. My tasks included: - modeling and cost-benefit analysis of decarbonization pathways in the energy, transport, land use, and water sectors, - application of national surveys for understanding energy consumption patterns in the residential and industrial sectors of Costa Rica, - co-facilitation of multi-stakeholder participatory workshops on decarbonization, - Python coding for energy data analysis and data visualization, - and training of national and international research teams and policymakers in modeling tools. These projects have supported the development and update of policy tools for decarbonization, such as Costa Rica's National Energy Plan and Costa Rica's Nationally Determined Contributions.
