Worked up to 68.5 hours a week as staffer for the Nevada Democratic Party's Coordinated Campaign in the 2022 Midterm election while enrolled as a part-time college student. Recruited upwards of 100 volunteers for a total of 508 volunteer shifts and 429.5 hours of cumulative volunteer time from hire date (June 14th Primary) to end (November 8th Election Day). Fostered collaborative efforts to schedule, host and facilitate events and identify further opportunities to reach members of community. Wrote e-mails, made phone calls, promoted events via social media and made over 2,378 canvass attempts to recruit volunteers, leading to Senator Catherine Cortez Masto's re-election victory, securing the Senate as Blue. A 5-week remote UX/UI micro-internship + early workplace exposure program. Worked collaboratively with pod members and project manager to increase user engagement in the Zillow app by creating a new interactive experience for users. Used Figma software with pod to prototype first 2 iterations of the experience; drove the ideation process to arrive at the final concept of our product, took charge of adopting a workable ‘playlist’ feature to the current app interface, conducted usability testing and facilitated user interviews with team. Worked collaboratively with pod members and project manager to design a virtual mentorship and career exploration platform for Black & Latinx youth ages 14-22 across the country to be able to pursue careers in STEM & CS in the age of COVID-19. Used Figma software with pod and an IDEO CoLab design team to prototype first 3 iterations of the platform; spearheaded career quiz aspect and competitor design research, conducted and facilitated user interviews with the IDEO design team. SMASH Rising: A 5-week UX/UI micro-internship + early workplace exposure program, where students skill up in: problem-solving skills, building their networks, and solving real-world challenges being faced by SMASH Rising partners. Using SMASH Rising design thinking and rapid prototyping curriculum, scholars create high-impact solutions for partners putting skills they've honed at Academy into action. Worked collaboratively with pod members and project manager to design a financial literacy education platform for children ages 5-17, as well as a secure voice-banking skill with Amazon Alexa integration. Used Figma software with pod to prototype the first 2 iterations of the financial literacy application, as well as the first iteration of the Alexa banking feature; was in charge of level design for the gamification aspect of the literacy app, designed and wireframed money wiring process for the voice banking app. Conducted and lead user interviews with pod members.
