Working at Sage as an Account Manager has strengthened my selling skills but also hugely improved my existing client management skills. My duties at Sage included: managing circa 300 client accounts (accountants and bookkeepers); creating rapport and long-lasting relationship with my clients to provide the best suited SaaS solutions (practice management software, accounting software, bookkeeping software, payroll software, business forecasting software, practice automation software, tax return submission software, client engagement and pricing software); booking and conducting Practice Reviews (via Microsoft Teams) to understand clients needs and to advise accordingly; contacting leads that come through webinars, road shows and via the website; conducting web demonstrations of selected products tailored to clients needs; acting as a first line of support for clients and taking accountability to deal with queries before passing on to other departments; forecasting licence/subscription sales with clients and conjuring annual contracts to accommodate their demand; placing orders for software and setting up accounts from scratch if it involved new business clients; using Salesforce on a daily basis to make sure all the information is logged properly and figures forecasted appropriately. Finally, representing Sage's values by using their own Sales Academy techniques acquired over 1,5 years of it being in place. This and my own skills have allowed me to consistently deliver on daily/weekly/monthly and annual KPIs, targets and quotas. I have a track record of many months where I have greatly overachieved (including over 200% results). For the past 7 years I have been strongly focused on sales and customer success roles and I find it to be my biggest strength thus I thrive in sales and account management positions. Show less

My duties included: selling SaaS to new clients, account management, researching data, calling existing clients, cold calling, pitching and selling the products (HR Software, Employment Law Services and H&S Services) to prospects (by applying the consultative selling approach, doing the fact find and then selling based on need), selling additional services to current clients (up-selling), booking demonstrations/phone consultations, conducting product demonstrations (via screen sharing service GoToMeeting), managing payment plans for customers, signing up prospective clients by sending a service agreement (mostly via DocuSign), working on a CRM system Salesforce; and most importantly, maintaining a healthy relationship with new and existing clients in order to deliver outstanding customer service but also to promote additional/new services where possible. I started my journey with BrightHR as a Business Software Consultant and advanced to the top role of a Business Software Manager within my first year of service which allowed me to become a top earner for the whole sales department (in my first month as a BSM). All of this had been achieved by adhering to my daily/weekly/monthly and quarterly KPI's and by meeting my targets but also by overachieving them. Lastly, I can proudly say that I am extremely confident in assisting customers/prospective clients so their experience is as seamless and professional as possible. This experience has opened up many doors for me as Manchester is a massive tech hub and I am happy to be here. Show less

Registering/qualifying applicants by calling and/or e-mailing, booking viewings, attending viewings, negotiating offers between applicants and landlords, completing pre-tenancy contracts, attending pre-tenancy inspections, acquiring photos of properties on the market, assisting with re-listing properties, updating landlords on a daily/weekly basis and suggesting price reductions to maximise the speed of the rental process, providing knowledge/tips to fellow co-workers, assisting fellow co-workers with tying up deals (when possible/needed), being punctual and being professional to show the company in the best possible way; and finally, being trained for a senior/assistant manager position in the company. This role has made me realize that I feel best in a sales/target driven environment as being competetive and creative is the only way to succeed. I can now proudly say that I have succeeded in both face-to-face sales as well as phone/online sales. Show less

      • Mar 2016 - Mar 2017

I started in lead generation and quickly advanced to a senior sales representative (after 3 weeks time). My job duties included: prospecting to acquire potential clients (letting agents); cold calling, engaging potential clients via online social portals like LinkedIN; conducting online/phone demonstrations of the product that I was selling (lettings management software); maintaining relationships with existing clients (account management); reporting to a sales manager on a daily/weekly basis to manage the expectations (pipeline). In this role I was required to be creative and upbeat which are my natural features. By quickly becoming a senior sales representative I was able to build a vast database of clients which lead to achieving monthly targets. Being a sales representative and an account manager taught me that it is equally important to acquire new clients as well as maintain existing relationships. Show less

Working as an assistant manager in Buzzy Wares, an American/Mexican restaurant located in a busy, exquisite shopping centre, in the heart of Glasgow. Such position required me to be creative, accurate, and to have an exceptional hospitality approach as customers are always number one on your list. I only achieved this promotion thanks to exceptionally hard work on different levels such as being a bartender, a barista, a waiter, a supervisor, and finally an assistant manager, which required me to undertake more and more responsibilities e.g. dealing with customer complaints; managing drinks stock; inputting invoices; calculating VAT; doing daily, weekly, and monthly orders; doing staff rota; being responsible for training staff in the matter of alcohol and health and safety on a regular basis; doing cash up at the end of every shift; dealing with large amounts of cash; reporting directly to the general manager as well as the owner of the company.
