      Here I was a “swiss-army knife” of sorts. I was able to work hand and hand with the owners to help contribute to all the duties of building out this business in Fargo, ND from the ground up to building 3 new locations in Grand Forks, ND, Jamestown, ND, and Rapid City, SD. I also did membership and product sales, personal training, designed and ran LBO challenges, marketing, handled all customer service questions and still fill in occasionally. I did a lot of the training sessions in the mornings starting at 5 AM. Maybe people think I’m crazy and that I like to yell at people at five in the morning but... I really do love watching people get stronger and seeing the joy it brings to their face when they reach their goals. I love to push the people around me to be the best they can be. This is one of the best jobs that I have ever had. Health and fitness has always been a passion of mine. Being able to build relationships, teach people how to improve their health, and watch them grow is what makes this job so rewarding. Sometimes it is necessary to wear different ‘hats’ to add value. This opportunity taught me to learn and use a whole assortment of hats.

      This was a great job for me when I first moved to the Fargo-Moorhead area. I was able to learn all the ins and outs of the area and use my skills in driving, time management, customer services, and ingenuity to get the job done.I did this job mostly in the summers and periodically throughout the year while in going to school full-time and playing football at MInnesota State University of Moorhead. If I were smarter at the time, I would have found just about anything else that didn’t require me to move heavy refrigerators and other home appliances.       I grew up in a small farm town in southwest Minnesota where hard work was a requirement if you wanted to make money. This type of blue-collar work ethic and drive is where it all started for me. This is where I learned the value of a dollar and that putting in the extra effort goes a long way. I took this job my junior year of high school to change things up. Since third grade I had been working on a farm picking rock, working cows and pigs, cleaning out grain bins, mowing, and other farm duties. However, I decided to take this job because if I was going to have to work hard, I wanted to make sure I got paid well for it.
