I was fortunate enough to have Jake as my Project Manager while attending Lambda School's Full-Stack Web Development & Computer Science Program. Despite being exposed to students of: different backgrounds, various coding abilities, and dissimilar personality-types [as a project manager], Jake possesses a unique authenticity and unassuming-nature that allows him to easily create a deep connection with others, almost immediately. With a solid understanding of team dynamics, Jake is able to use this shared deep connection to bring out the best in those he manages. In terms of coding ability, Jake is highly-competent in an array of client-side & server-side frameworks, which include React.js and Express. Although Jake is a Full-Stack Web Developer that is well-versed in many programming languages and tech stacks, he does aim for mastery-level understanding of fundamental concepts within a single programming language at a time. Jake's rationale can be more easily understood by a quote from Bruce Lee, who said, "I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times." With Jake's high emotional intelligence, the relentless pursuit to perfect his coding skills, and a natural affinity for extracting the best from those around him, Jake is an easy choice for teams or companies looking to immediately improve their codebase AND their culture.

Jake Thomas was my project manager at Lambda School. He oversaw myself and several other students—he took attendance, reviewed code, and offered help and guidance. I could not have asked for a better PM during my time as a Lambda student. He was always open, friendly, and helpful. There was never a time when I thought I couldn't, or didn't want to, go to Jake with any problem I had. I know Jake will be an enthusiastic, kind, and helpful team member on any team that's lucky enough to have him!
