We respond to rural areas of Nevada at the request of local EMS providers that have a critically ill or injured patient. As a Flight Paramedic I am tasked with on-scene patient assessment, application of hemodynamic monitoring devices, IV/IO access, knowledge and rapid implementation of over 70 therapeutic agents, advanced airway management (RSI, cricothyrotomy, ventilator management), and ECG monitoring. I am tasked with assisting the RN with critical care, inter-facility flights; IABP management, blood administration, NICU/PICU patients, etc.
