I worked with Jacob Powell since March, 2013 when I hired him as a Digital Learning Consultant to find high quality digital learning activities for publication on PowerMyLearning.org, a free digital learning platform for K-12 students, parents, and educators, developed by the national nonprofit CFY. Jacob has been an enthusiastic, collaborative, and productive member of the PowerMyLearning Content Team, personally responsible for the addition of over 200 digital learning activities in Social Studies in the areas of US History, World History, Geography, Civics, and other subjects. In addition to identifying excellent activities, he carefully and accurately tagged the activities to Common Core State Standards in English Language Arts, as well as other metadata. Working remotely, Jacob consistently demonstrated initiative and responsibility, always meeting deadlines and producing excellent work. He is a thoughtful educator and talented writer. Unfortunately, the grant-supported position ended at the end of December. I would strongly recommend Jacob for such work in the Educational Technology field.
