Jake has been one of the most incredible clients I've had the pleasure of freelancing for. A inspirational brand curated by a hard-working inspirational young man. Jake has stuck through his brand and the core message from day 1 and has embellished the same message through the many up's and downs. I am in complete awe of the amazing results he continues to show, I am proud that my portfolio includes NO ONE TRUE ANYTHING - a brand that continues to show how blood, sweat and tears does pay off! Jake was a caring, considerate and positive client of mine which has turned into a genuine friendship. I cannot wait until I'm sitting front row (OK, maybe second?) at his fashion show debut soon!

NO ONE TRUE ANYTHING, high-end, sustainable streetwear fashion label. NO ONE TRUE ANYTHING, it’s made to not make sense. The slogan I guess sums that up, “NO ONE SENSE MADE NON/SENSE”. People understanding the concept of NOTA is more important to me then people buying the products. I want to tell the story and explain the interpretation of the brand. As a person I have always wanted to be in a space where I can create, my mind doesn’t switch off, it goes tick tick tick 24/7, I needed a way to share these ideas. The approach and thinking behind NO ONE TRUE ANYTHING, was too captivate an audience with NON/SENSE. I am dyslexic, so I have broken down the key branding into syllables, to reflect how my mind processes words. I get asked a lot why the branding text is in capitals, its because that is how I actually write. All of my hand writing is in block capitals, that’s how much the brand reflects my thinking. At NO ONE TRUE ANYTHING, I believe sustainable fashion is much like the food chain or evolution, it starts at the very beginning which is the materials used. After this, it then goes into what I believe is the most important part of the chain, humans. If humans are not paid a fair and living wage for looking after the agriculture correctly and producing the garments, how are they ever going to improve their local environments? All of my pieces are made in Portugal, where sustainable fashion production is at the very core of what they do. Using a wide range of natural, organic and recycled materials, I believe that there should not be any excess materials from production, which could result in surplus or waste, so our fabric buying process is an extremely conscious and calculated procedure. The NOTA organic cotton selection is of much higher quality vs non-organic cotton, providing a longer life span for your clothing, while allowing you to lead a more sustainable lifestyle, with the environmental impact and carbon footprint trace significantly lowered.

Working towards helping create a more sustainable environment with the Jake & Maddie brand, is something that I feel, is extremely rewarding. The brand has an extremely powerful ethos and the origin of the Jake & Maddie products help the craftsmen & women revive their culture, providing them with a livelihood, while also creating a fair trade economy. The Jake & Maddie brand produces sustainable homeware, kitchenalia & crockery goods and is sourced, produced and designed using 100% natural materials and ingredients, ensuring their full range of products are fully biodegradable, completely sustainable and 100% vegan. As the Jake & Maddie brand only creates and sells products which are produced from natural or recycled materials, while being fully biodegradable and completely sustainable, this eliminates the use of plastic and single use/throwaway plastic. My role for the company, is to create awareness of the Jake & Maddie brand and their range of products across their B2B channel and their B2C channel. As well as creating brand awareness through the B2B and B2C channels, my role is also to create brand awareness through online and digital channel marketing campaigns. Another large part of my role, is to assess where the brand could receive further exposure, that will be beneficial for both brand awareness and meeting new clients. This part of my role allows me to be really hands-on and communicate a clear strategy for a certain event or exhibition, this includes; stand design & visual representation, logistics of transportation and ensuring all required stock and marketing/sales materials are readily available for the exhibition. As part of my role I also contribute to the overall branding and styling of the Jake & Maddie brand, this is across our online, social, digital and physical platforms. This allows me to showcase the creative side of my expertises which I really enjoy, while giving my role a sense of importance, allowing me to share my ideas.
