Key achievements that stood out: • Managing the recruitment database ‘Wyscout’ to support the scouting team in analysing players under the age of 21 from an array of clubs across the globe. This software enabled me to measure a selection of player performance metrics such as the numbers of goals, assists and fouls. I conducted investigations in to the players’ performance over the whole season in terms of minutes played, and what the player is capable of producing (attacking or defensive minded). • Written reports from scouts for me to read and process into a database. This recorded the development of younger athletes at clubs in the Northumberland area that the academy scouts players from. Without this information provided, some of the players recruited by Newcastle UTD today may not be there without my input on their performance on how they can benefit NUFC. • An earned respect from highly knowledgeable and experienced employees. To ensure my goals were achieved I organised development meetings with my manager and a university supervisor both inside and out of the academy. Weekly KPIs were set to aid my own personal development whilst ensuring I was also supporting and moving the business forward. This professional setting allowed me to work alongside high profile figures at this club, including Drew Beardsley, a recruitment analyst for under 15s to 21 year olds, and son of Peter Beardsley. One example would be ab attack; a 20-minute class where I would introduce various abdominal exercises for the participants to complete. Introducing rep ranges and certain levels of intensity to help the participants meet a variety of goals. Show less
