Aiding the Pre-Press Manager with the day to day running of the pre-press department I am responsible for making sure jobs are completed from start to finish in the required time for them to hit the presses for their delivery date. Also required to work as one of the team I pick up the more complex and technical pieces of work; a lot of this is variable data work for the NHS. Since being at Links I have also undergone plate training on a water-wash machine and am capable of making plates from start to finish. Show less

Originations Shift Supervisor

The senior operator on shift working alongside 3 additional operators, dealing with pharmaceutical and agrochemical packaging. My duties include planning of the operators and my own workload, answering any questions, calls or emails, picking up the more complex files and attending the daily management meeting in the absence of the department manager. As well as these additional duties, I am still required to fulfil the duties of a standard operator.

Working with pharmaceutical and agrochemical packaging, my duties include taking customer design/artwork briefs and processing them through to production ready files for plate production. This is predominantly achieved by making artwork amends and applying repro to a supplied customer artwork file. Occasionally I am asked to create a file following the supplied brief before proofing it back to the customer for their approval.

Junior Brand Artworker

Whilst working in a large group of Artworker's, that were responsible for Tesco food packaging. My duties included generating basic artworks across labels, board and film and carrying out amends across all artworks, whilst following strict client and food guidelines.

Repro Operator

Responsibilities included getting a ready built artwork print ready. This was achieved by following printer specific requirements and within any specified rules to Flexo, Litho, Gravure and Digital print processes.

QA Technical

Duties included: providing a print technical quality assurance and proof reading function for the studio, to help reduce studio errors making it to press to assist in the reduction of studio related press downtime and ensuring each job is repro’d correctly.
