Bio
Rocky Jones
Jake and I worked together for several years at Minnesota Opera and they were, without question, one of my favorite people to work with. I remember during their first month, I came to them with a problem that pre-dated their tenure and by the end of the day, they had an efficient, well-thought out, and blessedly permanent solution. From that moment on, I knew they were someone I could trust. Time and time again, they demonstrated such brilliant problem-solving and organizational skills and such conscientiousness and depth of focus that working with them was always a breeze. In addition to working with them in an administrative capacity, I also had the pleasure of working with them on our Diversity Council, where they brought so much intelligence, humor and heart to our work and were instrumental in the creation of our new Diversity Charter, a guiding set of principles which commits the organization to bringing its work into alignment with anti-racist and anti-oppressive values. Truly, I can't say enough good things about Jake, both as a colleague and as a human being, and our organization is so much better off thanks to their talent and hard work.
