I had the pleasure working alongside Jaina when she was pursuing her Master of Public Health at California State University Long Beach. Our team worked on a community-based participatory research study with the Cambodian Association of America that sought to estimate the prevalence of cigarette smoking among Cambodian Americans residing in Long Beach, California and to identify associated factors of cigarette smoking. She was instrumental in developing assigned project material and in field supervision. On a similar project, she served as a co-investigator in developing recommendations based on project results for the Cambodian American Long Beach population. I was even more impressed when we co-authored a chapter

It has been an absolute pleasure to work with Jaina on numerous projects. She is not only a professional to the highest degree but provides amazing insight, incredible enthusiasm and well-rounded knowledge and a valued maturity that many in her position do not posses.
