Instruments handled: pH meter, quantifying pesticides in fruits using Gas chromatography, UV spectrophotometry, aflatoxin analysis using solid-phase extraction cartridges, protein content, alcohol content using distillation etc. Microbiology techniques: Total and Aerobic plate count, yeast and mold, coliforms, testing for specific bacteria E.coli, S. aureus, B. cereus, L. monocytogenes, Salmonella spp., Vibrio spp., Shigella spp., etc. as per the protocols of USFDA-BAM.
