The position also requires an extensive knowledge of Polyworks, SolidWorks, ProEngineer, RapidForm XOR/XOM, Spatial Analyzer, Geomagic, and FARO Insight to process the data collected with the metrology equipment. Tasks completed at SURVICE Metrology include the use of metrology equipment and software to develop geometry for ProEngineer, SolidWorks, and BRL-CAD target geometries including an MRAP vehicle. Completed pre- and post-LF test scans on a variety of MRAP vehicles, and processed buried IED crater scan data. Supported reverse engineering tasks, including: disassembly/reassembly of sub-assemblies; providing dimensional characterization and geometry of piece parts to be manufactured; and providing reverse-engineered scan data to support finite element analysis (FEA) research. Uses Laser Trackers in support of providing high-accuracy dimensional inspections for many industries; including hydroelectric power generation, aerospace manufacting, healthcare facilities, and other defense contractors.
