As a CNA, I assist patients in an acute care setting with activities of daily living, such as bathing, toileting, eating and ambulating, among others. I am also responsible for obtaining vital signs and glucose readings, documenting and reporting those results to nursing staff. I am a preceptor of new staff members, teaching and encouraging them in their new role as a CNA. I also complete other tasks as delegated by nursing staff.
