Before the summer of 2021 I decided to work on getting my TEFL certificate and in order for the completion of this course I had to do complete 20 hour of teaching experience. I was able to volunteer at Meyerland Middle School and after they lost their Yancy Life tutor the middle school got me in contact with them to be a full time tutor. I worked the whole summer at Meyerland and I loved having the opportunity to teach and help the community. During my time studying abroad in Chile I had the great opportunity in being able to manage a new hostel. This job is what had me falling in love with the hotel management industry. I was able to learn so much from this experience and thanks to it I was able to become the manager I am today. I had to complete three internships during my time at school. I decided to do my last one abroad in Brazil which was of the best experiences in my life. Not only did it prove that I was able to survive living abroad, but also how much I love tourism.
