Additionally, I handle Rule 8's, rectifications, and submission of RAOCE IMMEX and INEGI reports. I ensure the accurate determination of merceology for proper tariff classification of raw materials, finished products, supplies, machinery, and equipment, along with the correct application of benefits that align with approved PROSEC guidelines. My responsibilities extend to the correct closure and payment of pedimentos within the SAAI System, as well as the verification of payments to customs agents. I manage the proper utilization and application of various treaties that Mexico has with different countries, including the correct handling of USMCA certificates to ensure accurate tax payments. On the American side, I oversee entries, imports (SED), and maintain an updated EDI system. I manage inbound exports and imports, as well as inbound releases. I am also responsible for implementing engineering changes in the customs system, whether it involves modifying or introducing new products, creating bills of materials, maintaining cost data, or updating the system to comply with the requirements of both Mexican and American authorities.
