      Dr. Eftekhar is the founder of Eftekhar's Inc. dba J. Eftekhar & Associates, Evidence Storage @ JEA and Inno Tech Engineering. He serves as the principal and lead analyst for the company. He is the past Chair of the Mechanical Engineering and Biomechanics Department of The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). He received his M.S. and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1979 and 1983, respectively. He received a BS in Mechanical Engineering and completed the MS graduate course work in Mechanical Engineering and Engineering Mechanics at the University of Tehran in 1974 and 1976, respectively.Since 1985, he has served as a consultant on numerous projects with federal and state agencies, engineering & law firms, and insurance companies. Dr. Eftekhar is a Fellow of American Society of Mechanical Engineer and a licensed professional engineer in State of Texas. He has been very active in the area of accident reconstruction, biodynamics, product failure analysis, vehicle and component testing, and engineering design. He has testified as an engineering expert on numerous civil and criminal cases.
