      My current research focuses on the policies and practices related to Human Trafficking, labour unfreedom, and migration governance in South Asian Countries.       I contributed by managing and leading an all India national team of a "National Policy Research initiative on Human Trafficking in India". It was a multi-partner policy-oriented initiative of UN Women, UNODC, TISS, Ministry of Women and Child Development, National Commission for Women, Tata Trust and National Human Rights Commission of India. I was part of the founding team and managed this project for four years, which was operational in all the states and Union Territories of India. I contributed by managing and leading an all India national team of a "National Policy Research initiative on Human Trafficking in India".       The Ministry of Women and Child Development, (MWCD), Govt of India prepared a draft of the proposed new law on human trafficking announced on 30th May 2016. Based on the comments from various quarters, the draft was revised. The MWCD arranged a regional consultation on this revised draft and I was entrusted with the task of coordination for consultation with civil society, academics & NGOs in Mumbai on behalf of MWCD. I took an Initiative as a student social worker, mobilized women of the slum community and minority and succeeded to establish a self help group in the slum area of Jogeshwari, Mumbai. I organised a peace rally and peace week, an event to bring the ethos of communal harmony among the people of the communal tense Jogeshwari area in Mumbai.I also actively participated in bringing fund from funders for modernization of education of a Madarsa in the locality and succeeded in it. I also worked for the post matric scholarship of Muslim students in the community.
