My responsibilities include overseeing a team of 22 members to ensure business targets and KPI's (key performance indicators) are met on a daily basis. Targets and objectives are set on the Policy Deployment. To do this I pro-actively track and monitor Health & Safety within my working environment, liaising with H&S reps and management to eliminate risks/hazards and act accordingly when necessary. I manage and track production volume achievement and the overall production rate, driving volumes forward to achieve a set target whilst maintaining motivation within the work group. Adhering to the WCPA standards is paramount as it is my duty to ensure the standards are met and a premium product is sent forward to our customer. Regular gateway visits, end of line audits and problem solving techniques are all tools I use to ensure this. A production environment has a high consumable rate which must be tracked and monitored regularly and a cost saving exercise implemented when an opportunity is identified through the use of Kiazen and weekly consumable tracking charts. Liaising with payroll, management, Union, work wear personal and other members of the workforce is also included in my job role in order to assist my team members and the business by ensuring holidays and sickness is covered. I like to keep my team focused and have a high level of morale to ensure a strong workforce.
