Jade is a dedicated journalist who never failed to give outstanding delivery of every story. Working along side her, she unknowingly mentored me and helped me grow in ways that strengthened my professional abilities. She is kind, highly skilled and driven. I loved having her as a colleague.

Christina Griffiths

Jade was a fantastic anchor to work with. I learned so much from her about writing, reporting, interviewing, anchoring and more. She is an incredibly talented on air personality, newsroom leader and communications professional.

I anchored Monday through Friday’s noon and 5 p.m. newscasts. I also led the investigative team. The opportunity allowed me to tell in-depth stories. I have excellent news judgment. I enjoy sharing my passion for news with others. I consider myself a newsroom leader. If a story I have done touches or saves one life, I believe I have made a difference. I worked in the Valdosta, Georgia bureau for nearly three years for WALB-TV. I found stories and followed them down for the number one station in the market. I was the first reporter on the scene to many stories. I broke stories on almost a daily basis. I built excellent sources and maintained those relationships. I shot, wrote, and edited ALL of my own material. I covered a wide range of memorable stories like wildfires in Clinch County and a wild hog chase through a Valdosta neighborhood. Many of my stories were picked up by CNN including the day a man was finally released from jail. He was wrongfully jailed for failing to pay child support on a child that did not belong to him. I worked as the media coordinator for the City of Valdosta, operating the television station and anchoring the shows. I shot, wrote, edited, arranged interviews, and anchored the 30-minute City Focus program. I produced all other programming for the City of Valdosta including public service announcements and short videos. I uploaded programming to the video server for broadcast and created programming schedules. I was instrumental in getting the channel moved from channel 96 to channel 17 on the dial. I also helped the public information officer organize a big media event to celebrate the milestone. Show less

I wrote the FHBAction News (online newsletter) every week, and contributed to Florida Home Builder magazine by writing staff and member profiles. I also designed a membership brochure and created public service announcements. I created a communication plan for a home builders’ blog. I assisted the public relations director with all event planning and handling media requests.
