As a PRINCE2 project manager, I have overseen and managed a variety of key transport and energy projects at City Science. Utilising my impeccable organisation skills and attention to detail, I ensure projects are operated to the highest of specifications. Vicky Robins from Oxford City Council commented “Jade’s sound knowledge of PRINCE2 and creation of clear-to-follow governance process ensured [the Gul-e] project stayed on track. Her risk management skills were excellent and reduced scope creep as well as budgetary challenges. Jade baked in lessons learned to each work package which helped keep stakeholders focused and built rigour into the project as it matured”.In addition, I apply technical expertise to consult on and develop a variety of strategies, white papers, and innovation research projects across sectors. Other key skills include energy mapping and modelling, stakeholder engagement, UX and design, data auditing, business case/commercial modelling, presentation skills and e-learning development. Events and Business Development Manager
-
Feb 2016 - Dec 2017
In April 2017, I was promoted from Sales and Events Administrator to Events and Business Development Manager. In addition to the responsibilities listed in the former role, my position has advanced exponentially.Creativity, strategic thinking and commercial awareness has led to a 2018 master plan which doubles the number of events currently offered by FWI. Key factors integral to the expansion include process refinement, efficient resource utilisation and by recognising, developing and maintaining mutually beneficial B2B partnerships. Partnerships with companies including The London Book Fair, Arena Travel and Upper Street have increased our agility and enabled us to weave new types of events into the product mix (such as conferences, tours and consumer shows) while simultaneously building brand awareness and audience through cross-promotion. Sales and Events Administrator
-
Feb 2016 - Apr 2017
Originally a publishing house, F+W Media has evolved into a dynamic international media and content company that has recently ventured into events. My role has been heavily involved with the planning and organisation of the events brand, The Craft Sanctuary. With an emphasis on residential crafting programmes, the new venture has provided me with a wealth of experience in start-up business and event organisation as a whole.Procurement Scouting for venues based on a very specific list of needs. Negotiating packages/fees with venues. Liaising with tutors and developing workshops based on customer preferences. Sourcing all materials and products needed including complex orders for the crafting workshops. Gaining sponsors and building strong, mutually beneficial relationships with them.Marketing and ResearchAnalysing market and customer trends to determine which workshops and tutors should be included within the programme. Conducting market research, reporting findings in a presentable manner and adapting the business accordingly. Writing marketing copy, organising marketing efforts and liaising with the marketing team. Using branding and presentation to standardise our offering.Accounting Producing P&L statements, performing break even analysis, creating budgets and abiding by them.ManagementDeveloping and planning a programme of events. Tactical and operational planning for the brand’s long term objectives. Conferring with the customer services team and delegating tasks accordingly.SalesResponsibile for licensing our content to UK magazines. Involving marketing and relationship management, negotiating fees and coordinating the preparation of digital assets. I have streamlined our processes by redeveloping the stock return procedure. By questioning the department’s use of customer segmentation, my insights have initiated a redesign of our CRM approach allowing us to better target our consumers and provide them with more relevant information. Seasonal General Manager

Apr 2015 - Jul 2015
The Willalooka Tavern is first and foremost a locals pub and restaurant, however with motel rooms, a bottle shop, a cafe and service station facilities I had to be extremely versatile and cope well under high pressure. Hospitality This varied role involved multitasking (sometimes solely running all areas) high-volume cooking, baking, devising specials menus, barista skills, bar tending, clearing, cleaning, serving, forklift driving. Events management In four months I organised three successful events including music, catering and stock, games, staffing, advertising and all prep and pack down. Customer service Dealt with customer service issues in person, on the phone and via social media. Improved the level of customer service throughout by training staff and dealt with all customer service issues. Marketing and product development Solely responsible for all marketing efforts. Utilised print, radio and social media marketing to boost sales, create hype and strengthen brand recognition. Designed crisp signs, flyers, posters and menus. Conducted primary research. Designed and branded a new cocktail list in an attempt to boost attraction of female consumers. Oversaw the development of a new website. In addition, I boosted footfall by creating a more inviting atmosphere by using rustic decorations and designing a new "open" sign. HR management Organising the rosters, delegating tasks, discipline, training, encouragement and morale building. Administration Managed the extensive computer and Point of Sale system, created sales reports. paying creditors and staff wages, balancing tills and recording weekly banking. Ordering Making phone and online orders. Predicted demand for all products across the bar, shop and fuel as well as ordering all food, cleaning products and packaging items for the back of house.
