Jackie Schluth was one of the best students I have had come through the MS in Sport Management program at Drexel University. I was immediately drawn to the fact that she is not a person who is simply looking to get something done, i.e. just adequately finish a task or an assignment. Jackie is very interested in understanding complex concepts and pushing herself to do more than what is required. Her athletic background is an asset in itself - she is determined, highly focused, fiercely competitive, and an effective communicator and team player. She understand she has a role on every team, whether on the court or in an office, and she confidently works to exceed the expectations for her role on these teams.

Jackie worked for six months here at PJ’s and Coffee as an intern through the Drexel University co-op program. During those six months, I acted as Jackie’s direct supervisor and overlooked and assigned Jackie tasks and work assignments. Jackie proved to be nothing short of excellent during her time with the company. Any assignments or work duties given to Jackie were done on time, correctly and efficiently. Moreover, Jackie was terrific at troubleshooting and working independently and only came to ask questions when she needed guidance. I did not have to stand over her shoulder or hold her hand with assigned tasks, which, as a manager, I greatly appreciated as it left me time to finish my own assignments. Whenever I needed something to be done quickly and performed with quality work, I looked to Jackie to be the one to get the job done. I trusted her completely. In fact, I felt so comfortable with Jackie taking on more complicated and involved roles, she sat in and contributed to client meetings and brainstorming marketing sessions. Jackie is innovative, participative and strives to do the best she can in whatever is handed to her. Additionally, Jackie made it easy to work with as she is personable, friendly and has an easy going style. It was a pleasure to have her in our office during her co-op. Jackie will be a true asset to any company she works for. Her motivation and work ethic is very rare and is highly valued in the work force. I highly – HIGHLY! – recommend Jackie to any hiring manager as a competent, motivated and hard working individual.

PJ’s and Coffee Social Media Marketing - Provided social media marketing for small-medium businesses - Built valuable relationships online with target audience online - Assisted in training seminars and management of social media campaigns - Managed social media accounts such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Foursquare, Yelp and others for clients This co-op affirmed for me how much I enjoy being creative and interactive while representing a company or client. While at PJ’s I not only learned how to professionally interact with clients, but how to resolve marketing issues and be original with marketing techniques. Show less
