Provides daily care and management of a diverse population of animal ambassadors including small mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates. Maintains high levels of husbandry and animal welfare based on USDA, AZA, AMMPA, and IMATA regulations. Maintains detailed medical, behavioral, and training records for a diverse array of species utilizing the ZIMS recordkeeping program. Inventories department supplies and places orders for needed items in a timely manner. Formulates and initiates diets for new animals entering collection and serves as diet manager for current collection animals.
