Bio
Erin Lasher
I met Jacqueline when she started working in the Linfield College Admission Office as a freshman. I was two years older, and all I heard from my supervisor the summer before Jacqueline came was, "We have this AMAZING student from Indiana - everyone is going to love her." Well, he was right. I quickly realized that Jacqueline was wise beyond her years. She has this innate kindness within her, that shines through every time she smiles. I encouraged Jacqueline to think about joining my sorority, Phi Sigma Sigma. As expected, the chapter immediately thought of Jacqueline as a sister. During work hours at the Admission Office, Jacqueline completed tasks with diligence, precision, and a gung ho attitude. Jacqueline is very close to her sister, Savannah, who is just one year younger and also a student at Linfield College. While they have different personalities, you can see the true connection between Jacqueline and Savannah that not many siblings have. Jacqueline is one of the most caring and compassionate people I have met, qualities she shares most with those closest to her. Recently, Jacqueline and I were having lunch, and talking about her future internship through Dream Careers. She was a little nervous for this new adventure, but she also had this quiet, wild excitement. This made me realize something. Jacqueline is a true go-getter, but not in the traditional sense. She would never push someone aside to get what she wants. She is never assertive or selfish. She is passionate. She knows what it takes to reach for the stars and she does this with grace, poise, and her ever-compassionate spirit. Jacqueline has often told me that I am her role model. In reality, she is mine. I look and Jacqueline, leaping into this opportunity in L.A. and think, "Wow, I wish I could do that." Final thought: Jacqueline is one in ten million. Sincerely, Erin Lasher Admission Counselor Linfield College elasher@linfield.edu
